Among the deep dwarves, Urgraz was judged slow-witted and rebellious, traits that belied his dark craft of malice against his kin. His desire for anarchy caused him to disrupt the dwarves' slave trade with the dark elves, and led him to betray his only ally in the service of the demon lord Mazmezz. This fueled his desire for chaos, so he ascended to the land above to train and scheme. Many have learned that it is not a question as to whether Urgraz would betray them, but only how long they would suffer.
